FALL YOUTH ACADEMY
Program Overview: The purpose of the Sure Shot
Soccer Academy is to provide youth players with the opportunity to develop essential skills to help with their advancement
in the sport of soccer. Our professional staff coaches will provide a quality training environment that will teach
them the fundamental skills and offer a fun and exciting training atmosphere.
Coaching Staff: Our Academy program is guided by Kelley Guth, the Head Soccer coach at Austin Peay State University and former All
American Soccer player. Kelley has worked with youth development programs for over 15 years. The Academy
will employ only the best coaches who have experience, outstanding coaching credentials and the right level of sensitivity
to work with this valuable and impressionable age level. These coaches must demonstrate professionalism
as well as a desire and willingness to study and learn new techniques of development that fall within the vision of the Sure
Shot Soccer Academy.

Academy Fees
Academy Fee: $75.00 includes T-shirt
Ball Purchase:
$10.00 (Optional) Must bring own ball if you do not purchase.
Coach/Player Ratio:
The Academy believes
in a low coach-to-player ratio. This approach enables our staff to work more individually with each player and
give them attention for their developmental needs. The maximum number of players in any group will be 10 with
one instructor.
Does your child need prior
playing experience?
No, not at all. The
focus of the program is to introduce players to soccer through the academy. Our philosophy is to group players
based on age and ability, so players of all abilities and experience are welcome. We will place advanced
players in advanced groups and beginning layers in beginner groups.
ACADEMY AGE GROUPS AND TRAINING FOCUS
Mini's
(Under 5 and Under 6)
This program will cater to boys and girls in the Under 5 and Under 6 age group.
We will introduce soccer in a fun and exciting way in an organized and structured environment. The emphasis is
on basic skill acquisition and also fun soccer activities. The basic fundamental skills that will be introduced
are ball control, dribbling and passing. There will be one practice session per week. We will
focus on psychomotor and cognitive skill development. Players will be on the move constantly, each with a ball
at his or her feet most of the time. Our focus will be working on vital skills that will enable them to perform
to their maximum potential. Through fun games and activities we will engage all participants to ensure that they
develop a long lasting passion for the game.
Junior
Program (Under 7 and Under 8)
The Junior
program is the second phase of the Academy program. The players will continue to build their fundamental skill
base during engaging and exciting training sessions. Emphasis will remain on basic skill development.
The introduction of small sided games during training to incorporate the fundamental skills that are acquired will be
implemented at this phase. We are currently working on establishing a "affiliation" with another
academy that may provide opportunity in the future for "play dates" where our Junior and above academy teams will
get to play against other academy programs.
Junior
Elite Program (Under 9, Under 10)
The Junior
elite program will continue to emphasize the fundamental skills but will also incorporate the beginning of game
play and decision making principles.
Senior
Program (Under 11, Under 12)
The Senior program
will tie together all of the fundamental skill activities and apply to game like situations. A strong emphasis
will be placed on 1 v 1 ability. We aim to develop players who are very confident with the ball at their feet and
can create time and space using skill and creativity in a one on one situation. Introduction of small sided
attacking principles will also be implemented at this level.
WINTER
ACADEMY WILL BE OFFERED IN DECEMBER (INDOOR)
